This old church, R'hich was the Catholic Church, was built in 1905. The lumber was bought and hauled from Sylvester, GA to Alapaha by mule and wagon by the grandfather of Autry Moore. [n tire rear of the church is where they would hook the mules and wagons, which were their means of transportation. There were no electricity in this building; just a wooden heater. Services were held during the day, light hours only.

Soon after, many improvements had been made to the building such as a tin top roof, painted inside and outside, indoor restrooms, electrical wiring, new ceiling, gas heater, new benches, and carpet on the floor, an audio system and an air conditioning unit.

When Rev. Anthony L. Henderson came along, the members had a meeting to discuss a plan. Bro. Karon lvery and Bro. Antwan Carter searched for someone to build a new church. After several meetings, Sister Genise Boone asked for a copy of the plan. She took the plan to Bro Larry Green (Bro) here in Alapaha GA. Bro. Green told her that he would need more to go on. Sister Boone then got Bro. Green and Stewart Willie Ivery together to go over more details. That First Sunday, the members held another meeting.
Rev. Anthony L Henderson, Bro. Larry Creen and members of Greater Macedonia CIr{E church decided, voted and agreed that Bro. Green would began building the new sanctuary for the new church. Construction on the new building began shortly afterwards.
